2025 Dunhuang Costume Culture Research And Innovative Design Exhibition Held In Beijing

The reporter learned from the China National Arts and Crafts Museum that "Cloud Clothes and Rainy Clothes - 2025 Dunhuang Costume Culture Research and Innovative Design Exhibition" was recently held in the China National Arts and Crafts Museum (China Intangible Cultural Heritage Museum) and will last until May 18.

This exhibition is jointly sponsored by China National Arts and Crafts Museum (China Intangible Cultural Heritage Museum), Dunhuang Research Institute and Beijing Institute of Fashion Technology. The exhibition is divided into six units, namely, "Beauty of Costumes", "Elegant as Blue and Green", "Everything on Earth", "Colorful Images", "Honest Innovation" and "Splendid Flowers". It shows the research and creation achievements of the team of Dunhuang Costume Culture Research and Innovation Design Center in seven years, with a total of 369 works, which are based on the field survey of Dunhuang Grottoes and combined with literature review, The costumes renderings and key pattern detail drawings of figures, as well as representative costumes art reproduction works and innovative design works, are prepared according to the images of Dunhuang murals or painted sculptures.

At the same time, this exhibition is also an exhibition of the achievements of the National Social Science Fund's art project "Research on the Clothing Culture of the Past Dynasties in Dunhuang" and the National Arts Fund's 2024 "Silk Road Clothing Inheritance and Innovative Design Talent Training" project.
