Global Economy: International Textile Machinery Exhibition Bangladesh Visitor Organization Promotion Conference Reacquired Attention
After China International Textile Machinery Exhibition and ITMA Asia Exhibition (hereinafter referred to as "International Textile Machinery Exhibition") introduced overseas visitors to Indonesia, India and Pakistan, on September 13-14, the International Textile Machinery Exhibition overseas visitors promotion meeting was successfully held in two cities in Bangladesh. Nearly 200 representatives of textile manufacturers' associations and textile machinery users' enterprises from Dhaka, Narayanganj and other places in Bangladesh participated in the promotion meeting, which caused a strong response through local media reports.
Bangladesh's textile industry is very developed, which is one of the important economic pillars of the country and occupies an important position in the national economy. Its production value exceeds 10% of the GDP, with about 4.5 million employees. It has more than 2000 textile factories and more than 6000 garment processing plants. Its textile industry chain is relatively complete, but there is a gap in spinning, weaving, printing and dyeing and other links.
Bangladesh's textile industry is dominated by exports, accounting for 6.8% of the world's total exports. Bangladesh is the world's third largest textile and clothing exporter after China and Vietnam. According to the Bangladesh Garment Manufacturers and Exporters Association, clothing accounted for more than 80% of Bangladesh's exports in 2023, reaching about 47 billion US dollars. In terms of raw materials, Bangladesh is also a leading export country of jute goods, rich in raw hides. A large number of leather and leather products are exported to different countries in the world, making Bangladesh the sixth largest exporter of leather and leather products in the world.

Liang Pengcheng, Executive Vice President of Textile Industry Branch of China Council for the Promotion of International Trade and Vice President and General Manager of Beijing Taggart International Exhibition Co., Ltd., delivered a welcome speech to the promotion meeting. Liang Pengcheng said that nearly 1500 high-quality textile machinery manufacturers from 24 countries and regions all over the world gathered in this International Textile Machinery Exhibition, and in the 160000 square meters of exhibition space, they concentrated on displaying new technologies and applications of textile machinery with the theme of high-speed, intelligent and green, as well as the new market links on the equipment side promoted by digital technology Apply new scenarios and new competitive advantages. It is believed that this International Textile Machinery Exhibition will enable the modernization of Bangladesh's textile industry and further promote the exchanges and cooperation between the industries of the two countries by demonstrating new technologies and concepts!
Enamul Karim, Executive Director of the Spinning Department of Norman Industries Group, stressed the importance of the International Textile Machinery Exhibition in the global textile machinery industry and how it can provide sustainable and innovative solutions for the textile industry in Bangladesh.
S. H Fahim, Deputy General Manager of Norman Industrial Group, shared the experience and insights of visiting the International Textile Machinery Exhibition before the meeting, and discussed how Bangladesh's textile industry could benefit from the innovative products and technologies displayed at the International Textile Machinery Exhibition.
Mohammad Abdullah Zaber, General Manager of Norman Industrial Group and Chief Editor of Bangladesh Textile Magazine, introduced the recent global industrial economic situation, and how the International Textile Machinery Exhibition will help Bangladesh textile industry get rid of difficulties.
Khorshed Alam, director of Bangladesh Textile Mills Association, chairman of Dhaka Standing Committee for the Development of Spinning, Weaving and Dyeing Mills, consultant and chairman of the Arbitration Committee of the China Chamber of Commerce and Industry in Bangladesh, provided important information on the current situation of Bangladesh's textile industry and the opportunities that cooperation may bring, and shared how China has become a leader in the global textile industry, And cooperation with the international community is the key to the success of the textile industry in the world.
During the promotion meeting, the organizer of the exhibition also introduced the exhibition scale, museum use, regional division, group reception, ticket concessions and other related contents of this International Textile Machinery Exhibition to the participants, and gave detailed answers to the exhibition information of the exhibits concerned by the on-site audience, the exhibition duration of 2024 and other related questions.
China International Textile Machinery Exhibition and ITMA Asia Exhibition will be held in the National Convention and Exhibition Center (Shanghai) on November 19-23, 2023.
This exhibition will gather nearly 1500 textile machinery manufacturers from 24 countries and regions to compete on the same stage, with the exhibition scale of more than 160000 square meters. All exhibits will be displayed in accordance with the process division. This year, the organizer will continue the preferential policies for groups, give preferential treatment to visiting groups at home and abroad, and give ticket subsidies to customers invited by exhibitors.
