The eighteenth China International Clothing and Accessories Fair (CHIC2010) was successfully held on March 28~31.

Organizers said that the exhibition also emphasized the interaction between China's garment industry and apparel industry all over the world.

After all, as the most growing consumer market, China's market potential has attracted more and more attention from overseas brands.

At the same time, the China Textile Industry Association recently announced that it will launch the enterprise credit evaluation mechanism in the industry, trying to improve the brand competitiveness of garment enterprises, and form a trustworthy and practicing industry spirit, so as to solve the key problems of SMEs' financing difficulties.

The move has been cited as an endogenous driving force for the development of the industry.

In view of the development trend of the industry and the successive support measures, many people in the industry pointed out that the next 10 years will become a critical period for the rapid pformation and upgrading of China's garment industry. China will pform itself from a big clothing country to a strong garment country.

Despite decades of accumulation and development, China has become a well deserved country of clothing. But to truly become a recognized power of clothing, it is also necessary to redouble our efforts.

First of all, as a large garment country, China's "big" word reflects the true connotation of production scale and potential market share.

The fact is that China's garment processing trade still occupies a large proportion. This situation has made the Chinese garment industry in a very awkward position for many years. "OEM" and "OEM" after all are for other people to do the wedding dress.

Secondly, as one of the presenters in the fashion industry, the innovative fashion style and influential brands are important weapons to occupy the market.

Unfortunately, there are not many Chinese designers and local fashion brands who have the right to speak in the international apparel market.

On the fashion week as a vane for China's fashion industry, some designers have openly stated that China's fashion week is too "China", and everywhere is lack of modern and fashionable Chinese elements and Chinese customs.

It is more like a fashion show, though very formal and grand, it has a distance from the concept of fashion itself.

With the rise of China's economy and the continuous efforts of the industry over the years, China's dream of realizing a strong garment power has become increasingly clear.

But perhaps only when China has a large number of world-class brands can we say that China is a strong garment power in the true sense.
